Aloe Vera is a gel extracted from the succulent leaves of the aloe plant, especially used in cosmetics as a skin conditioning agent. It is extremely rich in vitamins, minerals, proteins and other phytonutrients. It was traditionally used topically to treat and soothe dry, inflamed and damaged skin. It also shows some promise in treating different skin infections, eczema, dandruff, psoriasis, and many other skin related issues. But most of all, Aloe Vera is commonly known for calming sunburnt skin, for its moisturizing properties, for treating acne and for fighting aging signs.
