Healthy Winter Skin - Discover our Extra Dry Skin Collection

Whether you love it or try to avoid it, the warm summer days are now behind us, and the cool, crisp air will soon be decorated with beautiful snowflakes.

Along with the lovely moments winter promises, many of us still wince at the thought of this cold season as it slowly settles in. We often ease into the colder months with apprehension because we all know this season can be harsh on our skin. The cold, dry air and drop in humidity can leave our skin feeling very uncomfortable and looking flakey.

Luckily, there are ways to lock in moisture and to maintain your skin’s glowing radiance with the help of a few key (natural) ingredients!

It's a great idea to adapt your skin care regimen according to the season. For the colder months, we encourage you to choose products that will nourish and protect your skin and lips without using harmful ingredients.

The following ingredients are our personal favourites for maintaining beautiful, healthy skin throughout the colder months. We’ve made sure to include these in our winter skin care collection to help keep your skin looking and feeling great every day!

Cocoa & Shea butters

These ingredients are often included in moisturizing lotions because they truly are winter superstars!

Their little secret: Phytonutrients and fatty acids.

Phytonutrients are natural compounds found in plants and vegetables that may help prevent your skin from drying out. Fatty acids create a protective barrier that naturally hydrates and nourishes your skin while preserving its elasticity and smoothing out its appearance.

Curious?

We recommend trying our Extra Dry Skin Face Cream, enriched with cocoa and shea butters for maximum daily hydration. This ultra-moisturizing cream will leave your skin feeling soft, smooth, and looking as radiant as you feel!

Labrador Tea

Labrador Tea is a shrub that grows right here in our Canadian forests.  In ancient medicine, it was often used to make remedies and to heal skin conditions.

Rich in antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties, it is helpful in calming and repairing the skin.  It can also help relieve redness, which is a common skin issue during winter.

We love this botanical so much that we’ve chosen to use it in our very own formulations!

Trade-in dry itchy skin for the deeply moisturized skin you truly deserve! Try our ultimate lotion for repairing very dry skin right here

Soothing labrador tea is also used in our ultra-moisturizing lip balm, which we highly recommend stocking up on this winter.  With a super silky texture, these are a winter essential for effectively repairing, protecting, and relieving extremely dry lips. Find them here

Aside from being on the lookout for these key ingredients, here are a few simple habits you can adopt to help keep dry skin at bay:

  • Drink plenty of water throughout the day to hydrate from within and eat vitamin-rich foods that will help your skin stay radiant
  • Avoid steaming hot showers
  • Choose a mild cleanser that won’t further irritate your skin, like our gentle aloe cleanser

We hope these tips will help you find the beauty routine that’ll save your skin this winter!

Yours truly,

Your natural ally in personal care
