Lavender is an aromatic plant of the genus Lavandula. Defined by its narrow leaves and purple flowers, it has been commonly used over time in natural perfumery and medicine. Lavender is known to help soothe scalp conditions such has dandruff and dryness and to promote hair growth as it is a good conditioner. With its antibacterial properties, it is also shown to help in detoxifying the skin and is in fact a natural anti-inflammatory. Overall, the lavender scent is profusely used in aromatherapy, in treating sleeping disorders and is known for having an uplifting and calming effect.
